I am primarily a Psychotherapist & a Counselling Psychologist. I have worked for the past 5 years in the field of mental health, well-being and life-coaching through my private practice. My primary focus is to provide safe and effective counselling in an environment based on respect and a commitment to your well-being. I provide individual and group counselling for children, adolescents and adults with issues ranging from depression, anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, Bipolar disorder to stress and relationship management. I also specialize in working with Trauma, PTSD, Migration, Refugees, Peace Psychology, Conflict Resolution, Mindfulness & Islamically oriented Psychotherapy.
My approach to therapy is experiential, client-centred, goal-directed, and strengths-based which means your counselling sessions will be custom-designed to help you overcome your current challenges and reach your goals through talk-therapy and homework tasks. I may use many different methods to treat the problems that you hope to address, including cognitive-behavioural strategies, existential psychotherapeutic approaches, psychodynamics and mindfulness training. I am a holistic and inclusive therapist who believes in therapeutic pluralism.
